Brad J. Lamb – Interview with Big City Broker
Torontoist recently interviewed Big City Broker Brad J. Lamb for their Tall Poppy Interview series. In it, Torontoist contributor David Topping explores the many sides of Brad J. Lamb of Brad J. Lamb Realty as well as his upcoming Television debut in the HGTV series Big City Broker.
Love him or hate him, Brad J. Lamb is quite possibly Toronto’s preeminent real estate broker. Having sold more than $2 Billion dollars worth of real estate since 1988 (a staggering 8,500 condos), no one has yet to match his level of success. Aside from selling condos, Lamb is also involved in a multitude of new condo developments both as broker and as co-developer.
The article also explores the unique branding that is Brad J. Lamb. The ubiquitous “This Lamb Sells Condos†ads are a staple of the downtown core. Found on trash boxes and bus benches as well as outdoor advertising, Brad J. Lamb has been able to capitalize on a self effacing marketing scheme that works.

As a Real Estate Agent in Toronto, specializing in Toronto Condos and Lofts, I often find myself observing and trying to learn what makes Lamb that much better than the competition. If self deprecating humor is the way to go, then I think I am on the right path with my ads.

The article however also touches upon some controversial subjects that are part of the Brad Lamb experience. Issues such as overdevelopment in the condominium market, a call to boycott by a condominium resident and a song aimed at Brad Lamb are explored in detail.
Finally, Brad J. Lamb stars in his own TV Show “Big City Broker†which airs on HGTV and premiers Wednesday, February 7th @ 8:00 PM EST.
